MeritKapital Was Gone. EMKAP Had to Arrive.
MeritKapital had been operating since 2006 — nearly two decades in investment and securities brokerage. But a rebrand to EMKAP wasn’t just a name change. It was a statement: the firm had evolved, expanded to four jurisdictions, and needed a digital presence that reflected where they were going, not where they had been.
The old website was, in their words, “old school.” The financial services industry is full of sites that look identical — navy blue, stock photography of suited professionals, generic trust signals, and dense text blocks. EMKAP wanted to break from that entirely. Modern. Animated. Distinctive. Nothing like what their competitors were doing.
The brief covered everything from the ground up: design the new EMKAP logo, create animated versions of it for each office, build the full website with custom animations, and architect a system that gave each of their four global offices its own visual identity within a single coherent brand.
Designing the EMKAP Identity From Scratch
We designed the EMKAP logo entirely in-house. The mark combines a stylised bar chart — referencing investment and financial data — with clean, descending proportions that convey confidence and precision. Paired with the “EmKap” wordmark in a modern sans-serif, it reads as authoritative without being stiff.
The logo exists in multiple colour variants — one for each office. The same mark, different colour treatment, so each entity maintains shared brand recognition while having a clearly differentiated identity. We also created animated versions of the logo used on the homepage and office landing pages, where the bars build in sequence on load — a subtle detail that communicates dynamism without being distracting.

Same Brand. Four Distinct Visual Experiences.
EMKAP operates across four regulated entities — each in a different jurisdiction, each with its own regulatory context and audience. A single generic “Contact Us” page wouldn’t serve them. What they needed was a system where each office felt like its own destination within the same brand.
We designed and built four colour-coded office experiences. Each office page carries its own accent colour that runs through headers, navigation highlights, interactive elements, and document download sections. The menus also differ per office — surfacing the specific services, legal documents, and regulatory disclosures relevant to that jurisdiction.
EMKAP UK

EMKAP Europe (Cyprus)
FCA-regulated entity with direct Euroclear access. Blue accent system, UK-specific navigation, regulatory documents and FCA disclosure requirements surfaced prominently.
EMKAP US
FCA-regulated entity with direct Euroclear access. Blue accent system, UK-specific navigation, regulatory documents and FCA disclosure requirements surfaced prominently.
EMKAP Nigeria (SSA)
FCA-regulated entity with direct Euroclear access. Blue accent system, UK-specific navigation, regulatory documents and FCA disclosure requirements surfaced prominently.
Every Interactive Detail Built to Spec
EMKAP had specific UX requirements on every page. Nothing was a template default — every interaction was designed and built from scratch in Bricks Builder with custom JavaScript and GSAP where needed.
- Team Member Slider — Right-Panel Bio on Click
10 team members displayed on the team page. Clicking any member triggers a panel that slides in from the right, revealing their full biography, role, and background — without leaving the page. On hover, each member’s formal headshot switches to a second, more personal photo. The interaction feels premium and intentional. - Our Story — 40-Person Team Collage
The Our Story page opens with a full collage grid of 40 team member headshots — a visual statement about the size and human side of the firm. This section was built dynamically, so the collage updates as the team grows without requiring developer involvement. - Fully Dynamic Careers System
The careers section is a complete custom CMS — new job postings are added through the WordPress admin, with fields for office location, department, seniority level, and description. A slide-in application form triggers from the job listing. No third-party recruitment tool required. - Dynamic Newsletter/Publications Section (“Our Stuff”)
EMKAP publishes regular market commentary and newsletters as PDF documents. The “Our Stuff” section is a fully managed CMS where new publications are uploaded and tagged — they appear automatically in the correct category and are available for download. Zero developer involvement needed after setup. - Password-Protected US Office Page
The EMKAP US office page is locked behind a password by regulatory requirement — US securities laws restrict what can be shown publicly to US investors. We implemented a clean, compliant password gate that redirects unauthorised visitors away from restricted content. - Mobile App Integration with Live Financial Widget
The site integrates a live Finlogix financial data widget showing real-time market prices, and links directly to the EMKAP mobile app on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store — with geo-aware messaging for US visitors.

4 Weeks to Launch. 8 More Weeks of Support Included.
Given the scope — brand identity, logo animation, four office experiences, multiple dynamic systems, and GSAP animations throughout — four weeks is a fast delivery. It was possible because the EMKAP team was engaged and responsive, with clear feedback loops across their WhatsApp project groups.
After launch, we stayed on for an additional 8 weeks of included support — refining copy, adjusting layouts, and making the small changes that any client naturally wants once they see everything live. This is standard practice for us on complex builds.
- Brand Discovery & Logo Design
Brand direction workshops, competitor audit of financial services sites globally, logo concept development. Presented multiple logo directions, refined to final EMKAP mark. Established colour systems for each of the four offices. Logo animation concepts approved. - UI/UX Design & Architecture
Full site architecture mapped — homepage, four office pages with variant menus, team page, Our Story, careers, Our Stuff, markets, and legal pages. High-fidelity designs produced for all key templates. Animation behaviour specified in detail. - Development — Core Build
WordPress + Bricks Builder environment configured. Homepage built with GSAP scroll animations and animated background orb. Four office pages built with colour-coded systems and different menu configurations. Team page with hover photo-switch and right-panel slider. US password protection implemented. - Dynamic Systems, Content & Launch
Careers CMS built and populated with all live vacancies. “Our Stuff” publications system built. Finlogix market data widget integrated. Mobile app store links configured with geo-restrictions for US visitors. Our Story collage built with 40 team photos. Full QA and launch. - 8 Weeks Free Post-Launch Support
Included with the project at no extra cost. Handled all requested adjustments — copy refinements, layout tweaks, additional page sections, and responsive fixes. EMKAP’s team communicated directly through dedicated WhatsApp groups per department, ensuring nothing fell through the cracks.
Custom-Built, Not Template-Assembled
Every animation, every interaction, every dynamic system on EMKAP’s site was built specifically for them. Nothing was a plugin toggle or a pre-built component dropped in. That’s what makes Bricks Builder the right tool for projects like this — it gives us the control to build exactly what the client needs.
